2ndQuadrant is looking for a Full Stack Django Developer to join our Devops team.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Development of web and REST applications using Python and Django framework on PostgreSQL database and Linux operating system.
  2. Integration of web applications into the continuous delivery system.
  3. Maintenance of corporate web sites in coordination with the marketing department.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Work experience in the development of web applications with Python and Django
  • Excellent knowledge of the Python language and the Django framework, including
  • the development of RESTful APIs
  • Great knowledge of the distributed version control tool Git or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
  • Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS
  • English Language: A good knowledge of written and spoken English is required, at least technically. (At 2ndQuadrant it's normal to communicate in English via Skype daily, written and verbally via teleconference with our global offices. English is also the main language in which all software documentation is written.)
  • Curiosity and receptiveness for learning new tools and new concepts and technologies related to software engineering, open source, databases and application development.
  • A spirit of initiative, passion and creativity at the service of the team.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Knowledge of Open Source PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of DjangoCMS
  • Knowledge of developing scripts in Bash
  • Knowledge of GNU / Linux (especially Debian / Ubuntu and RHEL / CentOS) or UNIX
  • Participation in the development of open source projects (please provide references
    in the submission letter)
  • Experience with UX.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, Vagrant, Docker (or Equivalent Technologies).
  • Familiarity with lean and agile development methods, such as SCRUM and Kanban,
    and devops.
