Compact biography

I am Brazilian and live in Brazil. I did my under graduation in agricultural engineering at University of Sao Paulo (USP), masters and PhD in production engineering at Federal University of Sao Carlos (Ufscar). My background is on optimization, linear and mixed integer programming. Since July 2015 I am assistant professor of operations research at University of Campinas (Unicamp). I am used to use the General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) in the courses of linear programming that I teach at the university, but I started learning Python this year and every day I am more excited with this programming language. I am thinking whether Python could replace GAMS in the courses at university, and to figure out more about Python I decided to participate to the conference this year.
